Level Up Your Wedding & Engagement Portfolio - Now!

Stuck in the same old stuffy poses? Need new images to build your engagement session and wedding portfolio? Just love capturing love? This combo of a hands-on photo walk and classroom session will get you all the material and marketing information you need to rebuild your portfolio or share on social media to attract new couples.

This Superclass will be sectioned into three parts:
    1. Engagement Couple Hands-on Photo Walk
    2. Classroom Discussion
    3. Wedding Couple Hands-on Photo Walk
During the first part of this Superclass, Jen will setup and demo some favorite engagement poses and get everyone photographing to have a great variety of images to build a new base of samples for the engagement side of your business. She will narrate her process and show how she works directly with the couple to get natural and emotion driven images that highlights the couple’s personalities.

Once we settle in the classroom, Jen will share her secrets for including a complimentary engagement session in all her wedding day collections and discuss the benefits of doing so. She will share her workflow

Post engagement session, come back to the classroom with Jen where she will share the secrets of her post processing workflow.  Jen will review her complete end-to-end process including: image ingestion, renaming, editing, sneak peeks, five-star reviews, and the online gallery reveal.  Leveraging AI, automated workflows, and the Adobe product suite, Jen will show you how she has fine tuned her process to ensure rapid delivery to customers while producing high quality heirloom quality images.  Jen will demo her gallery reveal with the client and discuss how phrases and specific wording help increase follow-on sales while reducing questions and creating a high quality experience for her customers.

Jen will wrap up the session going back outside with the models, but this time in their wedding day attire to demonstrate how she leverages the rapport and relationship she developed with her clients during the engagement session. The foundation of the engagement session is Jen’s method to create timeless wedding imagery and she will be encouraging everyone to photograph during this time.  Jen will work with participants to give “back of the camera” critiques, to participants providing coaching and encouraging class participation.

Here is what you will walk away with:
    1. Five go-to poses
    2. New portfolio images in both engagement and wedding day attire
    3. Variety of on-location backdrops (be prepared to walk around)
    4. Post production and sales tips and tricks
    5. Bonus: how to evoke emotion from your couples

Attendees should bring camera, reflector, lights, or any other creative tools. To provide the best variety of portfolio images, please be prepared to move around inside/outside. Kindly dress accordingly for whatever Chicago weather brings us.

Jen’s Bio
Jen started in the photography industry when newspapers still took daily images on film and self-developed in a darkroom. She completed her BFA in Film and Animation from the Rochester Institute of Technology (New York, USA) in 2008 and opened her first photography studio, with her husband Travis, in 2011 (Uncorked Studios).  She took the knowledge learned in the photojournalism and movie production to blend these skills to develop and adapt her style to the modern digital age. The results are images driven by an underlying story, motivation, or cinematic lighting to create stunning images that seamlessly blend traditional and contemporary techniques. Adapting to the current client and market landscape, in early 2019 they successfully rebranded their studio to the boutique brand, Fox & Brazen.

As the co-founder and driving force behind Fox & Brazen, Jen has demonstrated a keen business sense and an unwavering commitment to photography education and the importance of delivering solid imagery to clients. Her ability to adapt to the fast-moving and ever-changing photography industry has enabled her to remain at the forefront of her field, while maintaining a deep and abiding connection to the art and craft of photography.

Her storefront studio focuses on couples in love, Santa Experience sessions, and headshots and branding for individuals. Photographing clients across the entire globe, Jen has unearthed a passion for capturing her client's story in her imagery while delivering technical excellence. In 2019, Jen was awarded her Associate Photographer Designation from WPPI/Icon. In 2023, Jen was the winner of SWPP’s Wedding Reportage Photographer of the Year and in 2024 completed her Associate of SWPP. In the first head to head IPC Competition, Jen was the Diamond winner in the Wedding category. Believing education is the key to success, she has always placed the community and photography education at the heart of her business. Jen enjoys empowering women in the photography and wedding industry as well as enthusiastically embracing technical challenges in the field, and behind the computer.
